From the same family of figures and Rumba and Bolero, Cha-Cha is a fun, energetic rhythm that is surprisingly easy to learn. The figures are few in number and fairly simple. Many beginners find it particularly easy to learn because there’s no “slow” beat. You never pause. And the figures, once learned, can quickly be adapted to the slower, more elegant Rumba, or, with a little more effort, the beautiful Bolero.
Cha-Cha works with many different types of music and can be danced in limited space, making it an excellent rhythm in social dance situations.
